Mary Ellen Buning is the President-elect for the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA). She recently retired from the University of Louisville in Kentucky where she was a seating and mobility specialist in the Department of Neurological Surgery and the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
She owns a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and Assistive Technology from the Colorado State University. She then pursued a fellowship and Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science at the University of Pittsburgh.
